Some Rom related websites: some valuable links around the world that I am in contact with. For the Rom, an international people of the Diaspora the web has become a useful way to make contact, share ideas and form important discussion groups. The sites I have chosen are highly reputable with up to date information, mostly created by Rrom activists and historians which include bona fide, relevant information about the real needs and issues facing the Rrom of the world -rather than fiction and embedded mis-information .
BALVAL: An elegant, comprehensive French site dedicated to Romani culture
DZENO: An excellent Czech site continually updated with current issues.
ERRC: (European Roma Rights Center) Budapest, Hungary. An important nexus of information - highly organized and active anti-discrimination organization which covers and updates news related to the Rom of Europe.
PATRIN: An outstanding site about Romani history, culture and news. One of my favorites
ROMNEWS NETWORK: current news with political lean and activist orientation
RADOC: The archives of Dr. Ian Hancock, one of the most important Rom leaders, historians, linguists and activists worldwide. A professor at Austin, Texas. The site includes his book, "The Pariah Syndrome "A seminal history of the Romani People.
ROMANI LIL: Toronto Canada. Canadian site with events both cultural and political
UNION ROMANI: Barcelona, Spain. An important, distinguished and comprehensive fully active site dedicated to Romani culture ,music, education and politics of the Rom and Spanish Gypsies. Highly recommended.mainly in Spanish with English translation.
